Fourth of July Hotspots in Reno to Visit This Year

You might be planning on celebrating your fourth at home with friends or family having a cookout, relaxing by the pool, or playing your favorite games. But if, on the other hand, you'd like to go out in addition to or instead of having a relaxing day in, here's where to go in Reno to make the most of your Independence Day this year!

  • Wingfield Park in Reno: Head to Wingfield Park in downtown Reno this year for a family-friendly fourth replete with fireworks, music from the Reno Philharmonic, and good company.
  • Greater Nevada Field: Visit the Greater Nevada Field this Independence Day for a Tacoma Rainers @ Reno Aces minor league baseball game and watch what the Aces website touts as the "largest fireworks show in Northern Nevada" after the game ends.
  • Victorian Square: For a night of "Star Spangled Sparks" – a fireworks show set off the roof of the Nugget Casino Resort – take a trip to Victorian Square. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy everything from a bike parade to craft vendors starting at 4pm. Or, opt for VIP seating and an included picnic-style dinner for even more fun.
